Good day, all.
After missing the target date by two weeks, owing to Real Life™, the fourth instalment of The Severis Tales has been uploaded for your reading pleasure.
In this story, the Severises prepare to celebrate Erandor, the holiday at the end of the year. However, things are not so well between Janessa Vendyor and her miserly shopkeeper uncle, Brackneed. Meanwhile, Larry and Xiveer build a shed as a father-and-son team.
This is a story, which I have little practice on, about coming together and forgiveness. If it does give a cringe and cheese vibe to it, then that is probably the reason why. Obviously, that is not my intention. Well, I suppose that’s usually never anyone’s intention, but hey, its new territory.
It is also worth to note that, although it is a short story, it is longer than the previous three instalments. One rule I try to follow when writing The Severis Tales is to limit each story to 10,000 words. Parts one to three are under 10,000 words. This story is under 13,300 words. I wanted to trim it down, but because it the publish date was more more behind, and there was so much content to tell, I published it as that.
I originally was going to call this Feed Your Head To The Shed, but after having much more content and depth than I realized, I switched it to a different title.
Once again, the exploration section of the TST portal will be eventually updated. Some stuff already has. Stay tuned.
